Miles Kearley (Dynamicaa) is looking for 3 London-based dancers who are versatile and highly skilled to join the R&D and delivery of the exciting new project, QUEER’D. We are looking for individuals who are part of the LGBTQ+ and/or Neurodivergent community. We’re particularly keen to hear from people who are part of the global majority.
This project will involve:
The creation & performance of a new dance-theatre work.
The R&D & delivery of community-based workshops.
The filming of a process documentary.​

About QUEER’D:
QUEER’D is an original project designed and created by choreographer and dance artist Miles Kearley. This project will focus on exploring queerness and neurodiversity through creative, performance, participatory and digital experiences. We are looking for dancers who wish to be immersed in a creative and fruitful process that holistically explores the body to unlock the potential of emotive physicality, character development & the human spirit.
We will utilise contemporary dance practices, improvisation, voice work, partner work, storytelling, highly physical movement and dance-theatre to create outcomes that inspire empathy, courage and connection.
We will be exploring themes around: identity, entrapment, transformation, freedom, intimacy, loss, collective power, authentic expression, musical drive, inclusivity and societal norms.
In the project we will be working with vulnerable communities, including those who have access needs and/or have experienced marginalisation and exclusion.
We are looking for dancers who:
- Have a minimum of 3 years professional experience
- Aged 18-50
- Have a creative, collaborative and reflective approach
- Are confident with theatre, character and voice work
- Are able to co-facilitate community workshops
- Are individual/authentic in their movement and performance style
- Are compassionate, caring and can work collectively
- Are confident in highly physical movement & solo/ensemble work
- Are confident in partner work
- Are comfortable with being filmed for documentary
- Have an strong interest in community
- Comfortable leading class​
Highly valued:
- Experience with vulnerable communities, especially those from LGBTQ+, neurodivergent and differently abled backgrounds
- DBS Check
- Can contribute to Q&A discussions​
Dates:
R&D/Creation/Performance:
• 16th June – 20th June
• 23rd June - 27th June
• 7th July - 11th July (x2 Performances)

R&D/Workshops:
• 25th August - 29th August
• w/c 1st Sept (three days - exact dates TBC)
LOCATION: Rehearsals will take place in London
PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be available for all the dates mentioned above. If there are any issues with any of the dates listed, please state this in your application as there may be some flexibility depending on individual circumstances.
FEE: £2700
- £2400 (£600 per week x4 weeks incl. rehearsal and performance/s)
- £300 (£100 x3 workshops)
Miles Kearley contracts performers in line with ITC / Equity Agreements for best practice.
*This is a freelance based contract for a total of 4 weeks and 3 days (Summer 2025). Any additional dates would be contracted separately.
Please Note – Performers must be eligible to work in the UK and have a base in London.
